A couple of days ago, Yankees star player, Aaron Judge, made history by hitting the 61st home run of this season. In the history of the American League, this has happened for only the second time. 61 years ago, the legend, Roger Maris, hit 61 home runs while wearing Pinstripes.

As soon as Judge hit that home run, Blue Jays fans were all ready wearing gloves to catch that ball. But unfortunately, the man who could have caught the ball, missed it by almost two inches. Naturally, after that moment, people started feeling bad for the guy. Also, many started to mock him for not being able to catch the ball.
The popular host, Jimmy Kimmel, interviewed the man, who lost the opportunity of a lifetime. Although, it can be easily said that what happened was not something easy to deal with.
Who was the man that lost the 61st home run ball of Aaron Judge?
Kyle Mulligan, who is an electrical contractor from Toronto, Canada, went to see the Yankees v/s Blue Jays game, on Wednesday. The man was quite sure that Judge would hit 61st that night. He also has this conviction that if the ball comes his way, he would catch that home run ball. But unfortunately, the man lost that historic ball by mere two inches. The host, Jimmy Kimmel, interviewed Kyle to ask about his side of the story.

“I would have put these kids of mine through college,” said Kyle, when asked what he would have done had he caught the ball.

Ever since Kyle missed that ball, people felt sad for him. But not only this, people who mocked and are still mocking Kyle for losing that ball is much more than the people who felt bad.

Jimmy said that he would not want Kyle to be empty-handed. Even though him remaining empty-handed was the only reason for him to be on Jimmy Kimmel’s show. Therefore, he said that they would be providing tickets for him and his wife to come to NYC on New Year’s eve. Just to actually see the ball getting dropped.
