But players suffering injuries at a time when the regular season is less than two weeks away creates havoc for their teams. With MLB’s 2023 season about to start on March 30, spring training and World Baseball Classic are about to come to an end. In a recent game between the San Diego Padres and the Chicago Cubs, the Padres’ catcher Austin Nola got gravely injured and hence exited the game.

Padres catcher wasn’t the only one who suffered an injury

The game where Nola got hurt was taking place in the afternoon. But from a B game with the Padres, the star outfielder Juan Soto also exited the game. The team stated that he suffered a mild left oblique strain.

According to the reports, Major League Players take almost a month to recover from such strain. If it is true, then with opening day being less than two weeks away, the Padres would be losing two of its most important players for a significant amount of time.?
