The Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani is currently ruling the baseball sphere. The talented player has become the most loved and admired baseball player in the current generation. It has happened because of his overall contribution to the game, be it pitching or batting. Because of all this, his demand in the MLB market has reached sky-high,  with estimates calling it worth more than $500 million. But will Ohtani get this amount even after the recent troubles?

Hailing from Japan, discipline is the first thing the 29-year-old retained with him. Due to this, he has made a chart of plans during his career, including retiring at age 38-42. The recent incidents of fatigue, cramps, and muscle tears have brought many questions into the picture. One being whether the Japanese phenom prioritizes his health over the highest anticipated MLB contract.

Shohei Ohtani Solid Life Goals for Each Year From 18-42

Very few athletes have planned things as correctly as Angles’ star Shohei Ohtani. It was visible in his correct prediction of being a World Baseball Classic team member and an MVP at the age of 27. Sho-time achieved the same with one of the following predictions being his retirement in the following decade. According to Joe Pompliano, the diary is all about,  “When Shohei Ohtani was in high school, he wrote out life goals for each year of his life from 18 to 42.”

Though Ohtani has achieved a part of the objectives, there are many goals that he has yet to achieve. It includes winning the World Series Championship, which looks unlikely to happen this season, given his brutal injury.

This endeavor will demand additional commitment from him, propelling him nearer to a market that is poised to offer him a substantial $500 million by season end. Although the sum looks interesting, will the 2021 MVP go for it after facing health issues lately?

Given Ohtani wants to play, he might have to take proper treatment and a break from playing to recover. But if he does so, it can affect his contract and could make him lose the title of the most-paid MLB athlete in the future.

But Ohtani has shown determination for the team even during the injury. It proves that he prioritizes playing. And if this is so, the Japanese wonder could keep the MLB journey on the go, overcoming all the hurdles. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know your side in the comments.
