2023 has been an incredibly unpredictable season for the Pittsburgh Pirates. They started the year in hot form and looked destined for the postseason. But the team has faltered in recent weeks and months, losing that early momentum. Most recently, top rapper Wiz Khalifa made a Pittsburgh Pirates appearance looking ‘dazed’ while Hollywood continues to experience turmoil. 

Hollywood writers and actors continue to strike as a demand for better pay takes center stage. This has caused some massive productions to halt and hinder release dates. Amidst this chaos, Wiz Khalifa made a special appearance at a Pirates game. 

Wiz Khalifa threw the first pitch at a Pittsburgh Pirates game

2023 has been like a Hollywood drama for the Pittsburgh Pirates. From the top of the table, they have crashed down to the bottom of the NL Central. Most recently, rapper Wiz Khalifa threw out the first pitch while looking somewhat dazed.

Jomboy Media shared a video of him throwing out the first pitch on Twitter. In a Tweet, Jomboy Media said, “Wiz is not on this planet right now”.

They also shared some of his Tweets that may indicate why he looks in a daze, as he refers to smoking questionable substances. The tweets of Wiz Khalifa read,

“Finna get stoned af and throw this first pitch at the pirates game.”

“Shroomed out throwin a baseball is easy”

Unfortunately for the team, his appearance did not give them good luck.

Even Wiz Khalifa could not change their recent losing luck. The team lost 11-0, suffering a massive defeat to the Cleveland Guardians.

Luckily, things may improve as they drafted Paul Skenes in one-half of unprecedented MLB Draft history. Let’s look at how fans have reacted to the rapper’s appearance at the game. 

Fans mocked the legendary rapper’s pitching 

Supporters have shown amusement while reacting to Wiz Khalifa’s appearance at the Pirates game. Some fans said he paid homage to Dock Ellis, a former Pirates pitcher who had drug issues and reportedly pitched a no-hitter while taking them. While some mocked his pitching.

Other fans agreed with his actions.

There were even fans that cracked jokes about the incident.
