Known for his questionable decisions, one can easily say that the New York Yankees GM, Brian Cashman, has failed to meet the expectations for years. But there are some decisions made by the longtime Yankees GM that still haunt the Pinstripes fans.

One such name who has stirred up this debate is Bryce Harper. It is no secret that Harper was being considered for a Yankees contract before he ended up at the Philadelphia Phillies. And every time when the Phillies star performs well, Yankees fans do not forget to trash their GM for letting go of such a talent to a rival team. Recently, when Harper stunned the MLB world with excellence in the ballpark, Yankees fans, once again, did not hesitate to take digs at the Yankees GM.

On Friday night, Bryce Harper made his first base debut against the Cleveland Guardians. Normally an outfielder, Harper showed his mettle at first base and delivered outstandingly to the expectation. He tracked the ball into foul territory and jumped into the photographer’s pit, astonishingly catching the ball.

Harper’s catch at third base reminded the fans of the comment made by Brian Cashman about his fitness at third base. Apparently, in 2018, Cashman rejected Harper for the third base, calling it ‘unrealistic.’

A tweet by Bryan Hoch has resurfaced on social media where he has pointed at the rejection of Harper by Cashman. The tweet says, “Brian Cashman indicated that Bryce Harper isn’t a fit for the #Yankees. Said the team already has six outfielders and that playing Harper at first base isn’t realistic.”

The fans criticized Cashman’s comment on Harper at the time, and now again has made fans angry. His failure in managing the team raises questions every season, and fans are now making a list of his horrible judgment over the years.
