The Phillies were among the favorites that fans expected to reach the World Series. On Tuesday, the Phillies, for the first time in franchise history, appeared for a Game 7. Understandably, everyone was excited to witness something extraordinary. Though the Diamondbacks complicated things, Phillies fans still so cheered loudly that most risked their ears by being present at the ballpark.

Their enthusiasm redefined the meaning of ‘next level’ as the roars reached 107.5 dB. The Philly crowd has given a hard time to teams before, with the Atlanta Braves the most recent victims. But Arizona was apparently unfazed, beating the strong front-runner team. Despite their early lead, the Phillies lost to a stunned home crowd. Brilliant performances in the early part of the postseason, only for them to choke when it mattered most.

Incidentally, it wasn’t the first time the Citizens Bank Park’s cries went through the roof. The NLCS has witnessed this scenery before.
