His tweet read, ” News: Bryce Harper is seeing the doctor Monday morning. If he’s cleared, he is expected to return to the Phillies’ lineup Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium — 160 days after Tommy John surgery.”

Harper will visit his doctor, Dr. Neal ElAttrache, and is unlikely to play this Monday even if it clears him fit to play. The player will return only as a hitter and continue his first base with pregame drills. The plan is not to put the player under stress, considering he is returning from surgery. Manager Rob Thomson shared this information on Harper in a conversation with the Athletic. Thomson said, “He’s pretty geeked up about getting out there and playing.
