Apart from exciting gameplay, injuries have marked the 2023 MLB season. Multiple star players have battled against them, missing a critical playing time. There have been many who have also faced season-ending injuries. But the highlight has been the injuries with immense unclarity. It includes the injury of 2022 MVP Aaron Judge, which kept him on the sidelines, and still there is no definite end to the associated pain. Now, Angles’ star Shohei Ohtani‘s name has become the latest addition because of the strange injury.
Given that injuries affect the player’s ability to play, but notably, in the case of Ohtani, the situation is different. He has played a lot of games with an injury. And even though he stopped pitching from the series against the Reds, he is still playing as a batter. Because of this, many concerns exist about the exact nature of the injury and what led to it. Although people expected a satisfactory answer from GM Perry Minasian, his response did not provide any solution, making him a culprit in front of the MLB world.

In physical sports, there are higher chances of getting hurt or nurturing a minor injury. Because of it, teams, players, and clubs take maximum precautions involving multiple scanning, even after a minor discomfort to find out the cause of the injury. However, it seems that they did not follow the same protocol in the case of exceptional Los Angeles Angels asset Shohei Ohtani. The Angels General Manager, Perry Minasian, conveyed this statement to the press. Journalist Laura Albanese has shared a segment of the discussion.
Of note: Angels GM Perry Minasian said that despite Ohtani suffering from cramping and arm fatigue that caused him to push back starts during this season, the team didn't do any related imaging on his arm until this past week.

Moreover, according to ocregister.com, Angles manager Phil Nevin, stating the reason behind not going for imaging before, echoed, “People want to speculate all they want. That’s not the case. That’s not true. He just felt what he called fatigue, a little tired. When he got through the week after missing the start, he felt great all week. He threw a great bullpen. And it just went amiss there in the second inning.”
Given that the two-way phenom has ended up getting a UCL tear, the response from Nevin and Perry has failed to garner the support from the fans.
Fans Criticize Angels’ Management for Mismanagement
The Angels fans have straightforwardly rejected the justification from the management, calling out to them for not taking their roles seriously.
While many fans said that it could potentially debar them from having Ohtani for the next season, few found them responsible for the team’s misery.

Other fans noted how could this be possible with the dollar assets of the team.
Wooooof
Monthly imaging should be mandatory whether hurt or not
These are multiple hundreds of millions of dollars assets
