Just a couple of months more and Aaron Judge will become the most wanted hitter in the entire Major League Baseball. Notably, Judge is in the last year of his contract with the New York Yankees. And he will become a free agent after the end of the ongoing MLB season.
Currently, Judge is having a blast from the plate this year. Having already smashed 60 home runs, the Yankees slugger is on a pace to break the single-season home-run record in the American League. And given his current form, any team would want to have a player as good as him by their side.

Recently, renowned NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith expressed his opinion on the same. Not only did he back Aaron Judge for his decision to bet on himself, but he also urged the Yankees to pay their marquee player before it’s too late.
Are the New York Mets preparing a bid for Aaron Judge in his free agency?
Ever since Steve Cohen bought the New York Mets, the National League team has been performing exceptionally well in MLB. And someone like Cohen, who is known for breaking the bank, will not mind spending a big chunk on Judge. Notably, the Mets owner is worth around $16 billion.
Stephen A. Smith said the same while talking to The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. Notably, Aaron Judge has only increased his contract value with the remarkable season he is having this year.
“And there is somebody in Queens that is the new Steinbrenner in the Mets owner, Cohen… And I think he is plotting to take Aaron Judge away… I don’t want to see him in a Mets uniform. It is a different kind of Pinstripes in the Bronx,” Stephen said.
“Don’t go to Queens… It’s better than the Bronx, but you ain’t there, anyway.”
