Lenny Dykstra, a former Mets slugger, who was known for his fiery and competitive spirit on the field, seems to have brought that same attitude to his life off of the field as well. His nickname, “Nails”, was a result of his gritty play and fiery personality.

In the past, Dykstra had some serious troubles with his neighbors, which eventually lead to him moving out. Although it looks like his tumultuous year with his former neighbors in Union County is now behind him, it certainly wasn’t without a bit of heat. He sold his home in Linden, New Jersey, in 2019 for $439,000 after a year of trouble with his neighbors.

Dykstra had harsh words for his former neighbors who reported him, saying “Those Stockton-ites can go f–k themselves. They complained they heard my chicks screaming during sex. Now they don’t have to hear it anymore.”

Also, according to NY Post, shortly after purchasing his home in 2017 for $347,500, neighbors in the quiet cul-de-sac complained that Dykstra had turned the single-family home into a rooming house, and police were called to address multiple times for reports of fights and vandalism. The ex-baseball player was eventually fined $3,000 for violating a local zoning law.
