Ownership issues were never new to the Baltimore Orioles and the advent of the new owner hasn’t changed their fortune till now. Even though the Orioles got the AL East in 2023, they fizzled out in no time with losing the Wild Card series to the Royals. From here, fans are eagerly watching how the Orioles management is lining up their 2025 squad with nothing exciting as of now. Yes, the fans’ conversation over social media is not posing a positive note for the Orioles this time.

Even their biggest fans are not sure about the turnaround with the majority of them blaming the Orioles ownership for their lackluster performance. With the 2025 season about to kick in, fan wars are in full swing over social media. However, this time, there is something unique between the Orioles and the Dodgers fans. Recently, a post was shared on Reddit asking about the probable winner of the 2025 World Series and the fans soon gathered to share their choices. One fan wrote, “As an Orioles fan, I think it’s a huge stretch saying we make the World Series, especially considering our team has arguably gotten worse since our 101-win season”. This very statement reflects the fans’ disappointment with the team. Another one shared his optimistic view, “Orioles need another year. 2026 could be it”. Even the most optimistic fan is not sure about their 2025 possibility.

The major blame is coming on the Baltimore Orioles’ management with one fan saying, “Just doesn’t seem like ownership is interested in spending too much”. This shows the lack of confidence in the Orioles’ management. On the other hand, the Dodgers are getting enough fans backing due to their better team lineup. One fan wrote, “As much as I hate to say it I don’t know how you could bet against the Dodgers right now”. Another one remarked, “Dodgers are the team to beat”. So, it’s the Dodgers making the maximum noise now!

With so much fan’ negativity around, it seems like a challenging task for the Orioles management to make a turnaround this year. However, it is not enough for the fans as they are yet to find some shuffle in the team lineup and the addition of a few big names. So what’s waiting for the Orioles?

The Baltimore Orioles have an exciting class of young talents with Jose Pena leading this time with players like Gunnar Henderson already there. Hence, it’s all about making the rain by the Orioles’ management to pick some big fish. Players like Pete Alonso, Alex Bregman, and the Orioles’ very own Santander are still available. Yes, need to put bucks here!

The Orioles’ management is infamous for not putting enough money into picking big names but with their owner getting enough capital, things can be different this time. Putting some of these names in relevant positions can make things brighter for the Orioles this year and fans are just waiting to see that. Bring on the game, Orioles!
