“One of You is Lying”- Jennifer Lopez’s Good Friend Once Challenged Alex Rodriguez’s Adorable Story on How He First Met His Ex-Fiance

A relationship that redefined the ideas of support, acknowledgment, and unconditional love for each other was between Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez. The couple started dating in 2017 after they first met at a restaurant in Los Angeles. However, the stories of their first meeting fluctuated over time. And when asked to speak about their first meeting, the disparity became visible.

In an episode of TheEllenShow that aired in 2018, Ellen DeGeneres talks to the former Yankees slugger and asks him about the first time he met Jennifer Lopez. The slugger dived into a sweet narration of the story. However, the story was corrected by Ellen at the end of the segment.

So, how did Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez actually meet?

A-Rod, while talking about his first meeting, started off by saying, “So I describe this as the luckiest day of my life.” He moved on to add, “I’m walking outside and I forget where I park my car. I have no idea.”

A-Rod continued to say, “And for 10 or 12 minutes, I’m sitting there. And I’m kind of getting upset now because how can I forget? Anyway, someone taps me on the shoulder and I turn around. And I do not recognize the person. And it’s Jennifer. She’s dressed up as Harlee from Shades of Blue, and she’s in her jeans and her big boots. And it took me about four or five seconds, and she said, ‘It’s Jennifer.'”

However, Ellen moved to explain JLo’s side of the story and said, “She says you went up to her, and you approached her at the table. And started talking. All right, well, one of you is lying.” Notably, she did not seem to believe A-Rod’s version of the story.

In what direction have the J-Rod couple headed after their split?

A-Rod and JLo’s adorable relationship came to an end in 2021, two years after their engagement in 2019. The couple parted ways to be friends in the future.

Today, one year after the end of their engagement, Jennifer Lopez got back together with her ex-fiance, Ben Affleck, who is ironically, a Boston Red Sox fan. On the other hand, A-Rod is now in a relationship with fitness coach Jaclyn Cordeiro after his most recent breakup with model Kathryne Padgett.
