Home/MLB

It has been over 11 years since the LA Angels star, Mike Trout, made his MLB debut. If not for the last season, Trout has been one of the most consistent baseball players in this period. But it is a pity while playing his best game over the last ten years, Trout has never played a single World Series game.

Notably, a player of his caliber can be an enormous advantage for any team. But the LA Angels never used Trout’s talent. Had he played for any MLB heavyweights, Trout might have won a World Series. But it is he who stayed in Anaheim. Else he would not have signed a massive MLB contract with the Angels.

With three AL MVPs and nine-time All-Star appearances, Trout has only one thing left to win, which is the World Series title. Leave the World Series title. The Angels star has not even been a part of the winning side in a playoff game. Recently, an MLB analyst discussed Trout’s relationship with the Angels.

Tom Verducci on how Mike Trout can become a national star

Even in the current season, Mike trout has homered 24 times from the plate. But is it even worth it? Because what is the point of putting the best performances in every season and still not getting the chance to play the post-season games?

Ace MLB analyst said it is a shame that a player of his caliber is yet to win a playoff game. He further elaborated on why winning the post-season games matter.

“It’s one of the biggest shames, if you will, of the last 10 years that Trout has never played at a winning playoff game… And really to be a true national star in this sport, you need to get to a World Series,” Verducci said

“Not just even in the post-season, you need that exposure where baseball is so strong regionally during the season. Post-season is where you really shine nationally,” he concluded.

A loyal Angel

Right from the start of his professional career, Mike Trout has been a loyal servant to the LA Angels. Despite knowing that the Angels have achieved nothing in recent years, he signed a 12-year-long contract with the AL East side. Verducci discussed the same with Colin Cowherd.

“He has always been a loyal guy to the Angels,” Tom Verducci said. He signed an extension before where he could have gotten on the market, probably got a much bigger number than he did.
