Chris Rock has been a part of the conversation for a few years now. The comedian-actor may be fresh off hosting the Oscars this year, but nothing is stopping him from getting to the ballpark. In fact, the comedian found time to catch a game at the Busch Stadium as the St. Louis Cardinals took on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Sporting a Cardinals cap too, Rock was showing some genuine appreciation for the division toppers in the NL Central as he soaked in the atmosphere and the ballpark.

The St. Louis Cardinals sit atop the NL Central with 35 wins this season. And while this record is keeping them on track to make it to the postseason, the audience drew more attention as they took on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Rock was seated on one of the top tiers. Snack in hand, the star seemed to enjoy the game as it went on. And the Cardinals did not disappoint. Ending up winners of a closely fought 7-5 win to flag off their games against the Pirates.

Chris Rock spotted at the St. Louis Cardinals’ game

Chris Rock was at the Busch Stadium as the St. Louis Cardinals took on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Sitting way up in the stands, he took a moment to acknowledge the fans as the announcer made sure that Rock got the recognition he deserved from the Busch Stadium crowd. Bowing from his place in the top stands, he acknowledged the love that St. Louis had always given to his shows and him as a performer.

And Chris Rock repaid the faith that the St. Louis Crowd had impressed on him too. Being interviewed by an announcer, Rock was overflowing with praise when asked what he thought of the city. “Oh! I love St. Louis!” said Rock. “Great crowds, great food, and I always catch a Cardinals game when I’m in town!”

And Rock knew Cardinal lore too. He ensured that he could rattle off a list of St. Louis Cardinals’ greats, naming some of the greatest to don the Cardinal Red, Chris Rock went as far as to mention his favorite Cardinals player.

Chris Rok mentioned that his favorite player was only active for the Cardinals in the 1970s. Alan Hrabosky, who played for the Cardinals as a left-handed pitcher, is actually the player that Rock liked the most. “The Mad Hungarian is one of my favorite players,” he added.

St Louis Cardinals continue to dominate NL Central

The St Louis juggernaut just continues to roll. With their current record of 35 wins, the Cardinals are well ahead of their division in win count and are almost surefire nail-ins for the postseason. With both their offense and defense pitching in equally, they look like one of the more balanced outfits in the division. And with the return of Pujols to the roster, they have the perfect narrative just waiting in the wings.
