Shohei Ohtani is showing his elite level of play in the ongoing World Baseball Classic. He has led Japan to three straight victories in Pool B and a spot in the Quarterfinals. They only have one game left to play before the next round, and that is against Australia. Ohtani has been a massive part of their success, leading the way with his clutch play.

But even a player at Ohtani’s level of stardom can get struck out or throw a few bad pitches in a game. The Japanese two-way star was recently struck out by an electrician-turned-pitcher in a recent World Baseball Classic game against the Czech Republic.

Shohei Ohtani is having a great World Baseball Classic so far, showing his skill, both as a hitter and pitcher. But he was recently shockingly struck out by Ondrej Satoria during Japan’s game against the Czech Republic. The surprising element is that Satoria is not a professional baseball player, actually working for an electrical company. Striking out Ohtani was a big moment for the Czech Republic pitcher. MLB insider Rob Friedman shared a video of the strikeout on Twitter.

In a Tweet, he said, “Ondrej Satoria K’ing Shohei Ohtani. ♥️⚾️”. Satoria finished the game with 4 strikeouts. The Czech Republic team has won over fans with their amazing story. Their squad consists of players that don’t play baseball professionally. But they have shown passion and dedication to the game, enjoying playing against tough opponents. But Japan proved too much for them and Ohtani led his team to a 10-2 win.
