Justin Verlander is a tremendous player. The Houston Astros pitcher has changed a few teams in the last several years, from the Detroit Tigers to the New York Mets. Now he’s back in Houston but the one thing that has remained constant is his romantic relationship with Kate Upton. Fans crowned them with the title of ‘it’ couple of baseball. But lately, it seems like two young new upstarts are here to dethrone them.

From dating to wedding to co-parenting, Verlander and Upton have experienced everything together. It’s at a point where to many, Verlander is better known as Upton’s husband rather than his endless list of pitching titles. But 2023’s No. 1 MLB draft pick, pitcher Paul Skenes, is all the rage now, as is his famous girlfriend Olivia Dunne.

Paul Skenes has been a much-touted baseball prospect this year, especially after helping the LSU Tigers to a College World Series championship. Then the pitcher and his teammate, Dylan Crews, made MLB history before even joining the major leagues. The duo was selected as the first No. 1 & 2 in MLB’s draft as college teammates and have been wreaking havoc in MiLB ever since.

But to many, what’s more interesting about Skenes is his personal life and the fact that he’s dating LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne. Fans have been speculating about the couple for months after Dunne was seen wearing Pirates gear and attending various minor league games here and there. They finally confirmed things recently, but have yet to make an official debut as a couple. Nevertheless, fans can’t help but compare them to baseball’s other power couple.

While Verlander and Skenes have obvious similarities, Dunne and Upton are a little different. While Upton is a model and an actress, Dunne is an athlete. But both are blondes with gorgeous looks and share the simple connection of dating baseball players.

Whether or not a straight association can be found, Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne are certainly the hot new couple baseball has been waiting for. What might happen once Skenes actually makes his MLB debut, however many years from now?

Kate Upton’s Jiu-Jitsu Stripe

Not to be left behind, fans can count Upton as an athlete too. The supermodel has joined a host of other actors learning jiu-jitsu. And back in 2019, shared that she had earned her first stripe after months of work. “I get a lot of belts for free but this one I earned! 🤣” she wrote in an Instagram post.
