It has been a difficult period for the Oakland Athletics supporters. From the poor performance of the team on the field to the owner John Fisher’s plans for changing the bases, multiple reasons have let them down. Even though A’s fans have registered their disagreement through protests but nothing has worked for them. In a surprising twist, a singer has joined forces aimed at playfully ribbing the A’s.

From Hollywood celebrities, including Tom Hanks, to baseball players, including Bryce Harper, mostly everyone has raised their voices in chorus with the fans. Lately, a famous singer Rebecca Black became another entrant to the list with rough advice for the Oakland Athletics management.

Yahoo Sports summed up the entire episode in their tweet. It read, “Rebecca Black has 459,098 monthly Spotify listeners. The A’s total attendance this season is 331,805. She wasn’t about to let Oakland reference her music without getting a word in.” The response from a singer with over 982k followers was a highlight of the conversation.

It started when A’s tweeted, “Gotta get down on phriday, Rebecca’s black cousin who is from Philly” To which the singer replied, “I don’t have a cousin from Philly? Sell the team.”

Though it was not the first time a celebrity raised his voice for the A’s fans. Earlier this month two time Oscar winner Tom Hanks shared his disagreement with the A’s move to Las Vegas!

The cycle continued when the Golden State Warriors moved from Oakland to San Francisco. The city has been left with only the MLB team, Oakland Athletics. Given that they are planning to move to Vegas too, it has disheartened the residents of Oakland, including Hollywood star Tom Hanks.

Registering his voice against the move, Hanks shared, “We’ve lost the Raiders. The Warriors moved to San Francisco. And now they’re going to take the A’s out of Oakland? Damn them all to hell,”
