Is Alex Rodriguez finally outshining Derek Jeter with his spot-on World Series prediction?

This season is arguably one of the best seasons MLB has possibly seen. From Shohei Ohtani’s heroics, the epic 50-50 club getting inaugurated to Aaron Judge’s stellar hits. And now, the two best players from the biggest franchise head to head for the World Series. This season sure has given MLB fans much to be excited about. In fact, did you know the postseason TV ratings that were at an all-time low went up by 20% this time?

There is one more aspect that has kept the OG fans hooked. It is the expert discussions, fun banter, and predictions by the former Yankee legends Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter. Now, the friends-turned-rivals have become friends again, and, are analysts for FOX. Derek Jeter owns the postseason; the man is called Mr. November for a reason. Hence, it was no surprise that he predicted plenty of what was to come. Whether it’s the time when he warned the Yankees not to depend solely on Judge or the outcome won’t be great and that coming true, or when the 5x World Series champion predicted that Pete Alonso could save the day for the Mets. And Alonso, doing so the next game—Jeter sure has that eye, but he hasn’t been right always, This time, Alex Rodriguez seems to have gotten the bulls-eye.

Alex Rodriguez has proven that he, too, like Captain Clutch, can make accurate predictions. When asked about who would make it to the World Series, Jeter mentioned it was going to be the Philadelphia Phillies and the Baltimore Orioles; right after which Alex Rodriguez said, “Not so fast, captain. Yankees in seven over the Dodgers.” This statement has aged beautifully – while the journey wasn’t easy, each team made it through to the next chapter.

The LA Dodgers and New York Yankees are indeed headed to the World Series, and while Jeter might not have got this prediction right as Rodriguez, he is more than thrilled to see how this pans out -a ‘dream series’, as he now famously puts it.
