Freddie Freeman has been sensational this postseason. With four homers in the World Series alone, he’s been a key player. He helped the Dodgers jump out to a commanding 3-1 lead. It’s incredible, especially considering he was dealing with an injury not too long ago. There was even surety that he’d be able to play in the World Series.
Freeman’s performance has caught everyone’s attention, including a former Yankees legend. Derek Jeter called him one of the best hitters in all of baseball right now, and rightly so. With the numbers he’s putting up and the unstoppable homers, Freddie Freeman deserves all the praise he’s getting from all around the baseball world. And it looks like he’s getting it—from none other than Captain Clutch himself!

In a recent interview on The Herd, Derek Jeter compared Freddie Freeman to some of the all-time greats! The Old Timer mentioned that Freeman reminds him a bit of Edgar Martinez—someone who could hit for both average and power. But it doesn’t stop there. Jeter also likened Freeman to legends like Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz. “[He’s] locked in right now and when [he’s] locked in there really is no one way to pitch him. You just hope the person behind him is not swinging the bat well,” Jeter said.
Freeman’s four moonshots in the World Series have put him just one away from tying the record held by legends like Chase Utley, Reggie Jackson, and George Springer. Given how locked in he’s been, it wouldn’t be a shock to see him reach that milestone.

Freddie Freeman continued his remarkable postseason run on Tuesday. He broke a couple of World Series records during Game 4 against the Yankees! The 35-year-old launched a two-run home run to right field in the first inning. That marked the second consecutive night he’s gone deep. With that shot, the Canadian-American baseball player made history as the first player to homer in the first four games of a Fall Classic.

Freeman’s incredible streak just keeps getting better. With his latest homer, the #5 became the only player in history to hit home runs in six consecutive World Series games. His streak dates all the way back to the 2021 championship Frederick won with Atlanta against Houston. The 2010 debutant faced a tough challenge this year, missing three games during the National League playoffs due to an ailing ankle. It was a rough start, especially since Freddie came into the World Series with just one RBI and no extra-base hits.
But then Freddie Freeman turned it around dramatically in Game 1, with a walk-off grand slam—the first in WS history! That set the tone for what is becoming an incredible series for him. It’s impressive to see how the LA Dodgers player bounced back and showed his resilience, especially after dealing with injury. Now, Freeman’s not just contributing; he’s making history!
