No matter how great Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez is, his one minor mistake will always be probably the biggest talking point of his professional career. A-Rod has played 22 years of baseball in MLB. Starting from the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers, A-Rod ended up being one of the best to grace the ballparks.
Even though his personal and professional lives are a little controversial, A-Rod’s journey to becoming a successful sports personality has been difficult. From an ordinary boy of Miami to one of the most successful athletes in American sports, A-Rod has seen it all. Had he not faced the two-year suspension from Major League Baseball, the Yankees legend would have joined the elite company of the Yankees greats, Babe Ruth, Derek Jeter, Yogi Berra, and Mickey Mantle.

But, as earlier said, fans will always have a second opinion about his baseball career. Notably, MLB had suspended A-Rod for using PEDs (Performance-enhancing drugs) during the early days of his baseball career. Recently, the former Yankee opened up about when he had to go through day-long therapy sessions.

It is not a secret anymore that A-Rod used PEDs. And he even faced probably the harshest punishment for it. Recently, while talking to Jordan Harbinger on his podcast, A-Rod recalled his early days, and how hard was it for him to go through the therapy sessions.

Right from the early morning to 5 pm, he had to attend the sessions. And that too without having lunch for the whole day.
“We would start tee time in the couch in evergreen Colorado. A beautiful town in the middle of nowhere. We would tee off the therapy at 9 o’clock in the morning and go to 5 pm…,” Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez said. “No lunch break. And then my homework was to go walk the snow by myself for two hours, and think and then write in a journal,” he further added.

The suspension cost him the 2013 and 2014 seasons. What is more painful was that he missed two seasons when he was at his peak in his baseball career. However, he will always be an MLB legend.
