Tyler Matzek is currently recovering from Tommy John surgery and will miss the entirety of the 2023 MLB season. He suffered an issue in his left elbow and will be out for 12-18 months. But the Braves signed him to a 2-year $3.1 million deal despite his injury. Matzek seems to be in high spirits and recently mocked the Los Angeles Chargers for an embarrassing loss that they suffered.

Furthermore, he also took shots at the New York Mets and their fans at the same time. While mocking the Chargers and the Mets, Matzek did not hold back at all.

The Chargers just blew a 27-0 lead against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Wild Card Round. They ended up losing 31-30 in what was an embarrassing second-half performance. The Atlanta Braves reliever Tyler Matzek tweeted about the defeat and mocked both Chargers fans and Mets fans in a single tweet. He asked if he had been a Chargers fan, would he know how Mets fans feel? This was a dig at the Mets, insinuating that they regularly blow big leads.

In the Tweet, Matzek said, “If I’m a @chargersfan, does that mean I know how it feels to be a Mets fan after watching that game?” Following this question he also added a poll in the Tweet with two answers – Yes and Yes again. This was a true double-edged dig as he managed to attack both Chargers and Mets supporters.
