Derek Jeter recently made an appearance on the Eli Manning Show. And during the show, Manning thanked the Yankee legend for the support he provided at the time. In particular, the NY Giants legend thanked the MLB Hall of Famer for calling him during his rookie season and offering him support.
The former Giants quarterback literally called Jeter a role model of him. Manning said “You called me to kind of, after that week we’re about to play a game. And you just said, hey you know, keep grinding, keep your head up, keep working. New York’s a tough place. And it meant a lot to me ’cause when I was, you know, coming into New York, like you were the role model.”
