“Personally, I just want to thank you for being such a great role model for me. I still remember when you called in my rookie year… I was lost a couple games and just getting a call from you meant so much to me at that time,” Eli Manning said.

The Giants coach Tom Coughlin also heaped Jeter for being a remarkable professional. “Derek, you are the consummate pro. You have been a great example for both young and old and you are truly a great Yankee,” Tom Coughlin said.
The Broncos QB, Russell Wilson, was not any different, as he also congratulated the Yankees legend for a remarkable career. “Congrats on your amazing, amazing career! I know when I was a kid, I used to be a huge Yankees fan,” Wilson said.
