According to nbcsports.com, the batting practice session in question took place in April 2015. When the then-New England Patriots, fresh from their fifth Super Bowl victory, visited Fenway Park.
But Brady?s connection to baseball goes deeper than just this one batting practice session. Years before he became a notable athlete as the quarterback for the Patriots, he was selected in the 18th round of the 1995 MLB draft by the Montreal Expos. And it?s fitting that this moment with Martinez also marked a special connection to the Expos, as he played for the team from 1994 to 1997.
