Earlier this year, Alex Rodriguez opened up about why people should appreciate and respect Antonio Brown. The former Yankees star asked everyone to show empathy and compassion toward the former Buccaneers wide receiver.
A-Rod, in particular, also heaped huge praise on Tom Brady for standing by Brown when he needed it the most.

“I personally love Antonio Brown. I love him so much because I see the goodness in this young man. First of all, he is a beautiful-looking guy. He is handsome as hell… You have to sympathize with the way this young man grew up. It’s not like he grew up in Park Avenue, right?… So, I think as a leader, we have to lead with compassion and empathy,” Alex Rodriguez said.
“He has got a different way of communicating. But why can’t that be celebrated?… He has got way more flavor than me, right?… What I love about someone like Tom Brady, who I love, is a dear friend of mine. We go back 20 years back in time, I love how Tom embraced him… We can’t turn our backs on young people that are going through challenging times…”
