Since entering the MLB stage with the New York Yankees, Aaron Judge has enjoyed one remarkable season after another. But this year turned out to be the most special year of his career so far. He stormed his way into the MLB record books through a historic home run fest. Judge’s memorable feat even caught the attention of NFL team owner Jerry Jones, who once spoke on a related matter.

Having smashed 62 HRs this year, Judge recently won the AL MVP. The reigning AL MVP also surpassed Roger Maris’ previous best record. The historic milestone came in the penultimate game of the regular season.
The Yankees were playing against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. A fan by the name of Cory Youmans caught the historic home run ball in the stands. Youmans cast his doubt over returning the souvenir to Judge and also rejected a $3 million offer. Meanwhile, $14.6 billion worth Jones, once presented his opinion on what he would have possibly done with the ball.
Jerry Jones’ fancy opinion on Aaron Judge’s piece of MLB history
Cory Youmans has finally made up his mind on the Aaron Judge memorabilia. Youmans tied up with Goldin Auctions House in November to auction the ball. However, in an interview in October, Jerry Jones got asked about what he would have done with Judge’s 62nd ball. Jones, the Cowboys owner, is also admittedly a passionate baseball fan.
Responding to the hypothetical question in the podcast, Jones replied, saying, “I think I’d like him (Aaron Judge) to have it, the player, at the end of the day. Now, if I didn’t have any money. So it’s all relative. Let’s be real a little bit here. Your personality, your charitability, that will change on you when you’re broke.”
Interestingly, Jones’ most treasured piece of sporting memorabilia is an autographed ball from MLB legend Ernie Banks.
