The New York Yankees are nothing if not resilient. And sometimes, maybe just a bit extra stubborn. But being the winningest franchise in baseball history, the extra perks follow. The Yankees are making an unexpected run for the post-season in the final stretch of games this season, but with the post-season fast approaching, the question around the Pinstripes remains: how far they can make it with their current starcast.

The Pinstripes have always featured a star-studded lineup. While also showing great promise on offense, the Yankees ownership too seems to have taken it upon themselves to make sure that a season like 2023 does not repeat. However, it seems that while the fans and ownership have a certain opinion of the front office and manager, the players especially the team’s captain Aaron Judge seem to disagree.

Motivation plays a big part in late season runs for sports franchises. With motivational speeches from coaches forming a cornerstone contribution to the American diet, Colorado Coach Deion Sanders has recently written in his own chapter. But if the Yankees’ Captain is to be trusted, nothing’s broken that needs fixing.

On a recent interview, Judge was asked regarding if he has been asked by Hal Steinbrenner if Aaron Boone was the guy for the Yankees going forward from here.

Despite almost slipping below the 0.500 mark and being at the risk of their first losing season since 1992, the 2022 Homerun King, stuck to his guns and backed the manager. Said Judge, “I’ve been with Boone all the way since 2018. He’s the guy….”

Explaining how Boone has been backing the team no matter the time, the Yanks captain continued, “He has been there for us in good times and bad times,” Judge said. “The guy shows up and supports his players. You can probably tell by the amount of times he’s been thrown out of games that he always has our back.”

Aaron Boone’s tenure at the Yankees will always be discussed with mixed emptions. While the star undoubtedly leaves back some happy memories, including clinching the AL East Crown and the ALCS in 2022, the lack of any further post season success will be bothering. However, Boone seems to have turned a corner recently with the elevation of the Baby Bombers into the Bronx franchise’s lineup.

With Boone training both Jasson Dominguez and Austin Wells already adding to the talent pool of the Yankees, the chance for their success will be increased manifold. The 2022 MVP for one seems to believe strongly that the Yankees skipper is bound to succeed and the team is definitely behind him. Said Judge, “There are 28 guys in here that have his back.

While the remainder of the season is yet to pan out, the Yankees have certainly generated some interest in their young lineup which is booming with potential for Boone to unlock. The Yankees manager may have seen his darkest days in the Bronx, but the shining light of victory may not be too far away.
