From the radiance of Michael Phelps to the brilliance of LeBron James, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, and countless other American athletic icons, from 2004 to 2011, ‘Entourage’ was the television embodiment of an All-Star game, featuring the elite of American Major League sports. And amidst the plethora of stars gracing the program were two particularly noteworthy members of the New York Yankees, Mark Teixeira, and Alex Rodriguez.
In the penultimate episode of the eighth and final season, Turtle, played by Jerry Ferrara, reached out to a plethora of accomplished athletes in order to secure funding for his restaurant business. Amongst those who he contacted were two members of the New York Yankees, Mark Teixeira, and Alex Rodriguez, as well as the esteemed Amar’e Stoudemire and Michael Strahan.
Alex Rodriguez makes an appearance in ‘Entourage’ amongst many other stars
Upon having contacted both Stoudemire and Strahan, and having “trying to guilt” (or Tex), Turtle reached out to Alex Rodriguez, who unequivocally refused to provide further financial assistance. And asked Turtle to stop guilting Tex.

Subsequent to Turtle’s call to the 14-time All-Star, Rodriguez inquired as to the rationale behind his inability to invest further funds. He also queried the seemingly implausible notion that Turtle would be lacking in financial resources. A-Rod said, “Why can’t you put in any more money?” and continued to question, “A few bucks? I heard you went public today.”
Ultimately, the 2009 World Champion asked Turtle to extend an apology to Teixeira. And he stated that the Yankees are trying to win the World Championship and Turtle’s actions are disrupting their effort. He said, “Call Tex and apologize. We’re trying to win a ring around here.”
