Despite being close friends with Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, and is filled with praises for Aaron Judge, being brought up in Boston, Tom Brady supports the Yankees’ greatest rivals, the Boston Red Sox. The 45-year-old NFL legend, in 2015, after winning his fourth NFL Championship, posed with another major Yankee rival flaunting their glorious trophies.

Notably, the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl in 2014. Just one year before that, David Ortiz, with the Boston Red Sox, won his third World Series ring. Back in 2015, the two superstars from NFL and MLB respectively reunited to flaunt two of the most prized jewels in American sports.

Baseball In Pics recently uploaded an image of the two champions posing together with their Super Bowl and World Series trophy in an image from 2015. Notably, the Super Bowl trophy was from the Patriots’ 2014 victory, while the World Series trophy was from the BoSox’s 2013 victory.

“David Ortiz and Tom Brady with their titles, 2015” captioned Baseball in Pics while uploading this resurfaced image.

Brady, at the age of 45, recently announced his second retirement from the sport. Ortiz, on the other hand, played his final MLB season with the Boston Red Sox in 2016, before bidding adieu to Fenway Park.

Tom Brady retires. Again…

In February 2022, after losing in the Wild Card round to the Philadelphia Eagles, Tom Brady announced his NFL retirement. However, 40 days into his retirement, Brady revoked that decision and signed a one-year contract with Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, one year into his first retirement, after the Dallas Cowboys knocked out the Bucs in the wild-card round of the 2022-23 season, Brady, anticlimactically, announced his supposedly final retirement from the sport before winning his eighth Super Bowl.
