The New York Yankee star Derek Jeter has achieved a lot of accolades in his two decade career. He also got invited to several interviews. Which has not stopped even though the former shortstop retired a good eight years ago in 2014. Recently, Captain Clutch got an invitation to go on the show of another New York icon, not of baseball, but of the National Football League’s The Eli Manning Show. There, the two icons talked about various things, and when the time came to part ways, the NFL legend gave the former Yankee a special gift. It was something that Jeter would not only remember for a long time but will forever have the words Manning said to him right in front of him in the form of that token.
The token at the end of the show hinted towards another career for the former shortstop, which he might have done great at had he not chosen baseball as his primary sport.

After having a great talk with the baseball legend, and moments before saying goodbye, the NFL legend went on to get two jerseys of his former team, the New York Giants. One of which had written Jeter with the number 2 on it.

As he proceeded to give it to Jeter, he said, “You could be a Giant.” With these five words, the NFL legend defined another career for Jeter. If he had opted for it, he would still have stayed in New York. He would have become a fan favorite of the same New Yorkers, but just for another sport.

After giving him the jersey, Manning proceeded to say thanks to Jeter before ending the final segment of the show’s episode.
What else did the two New York legends talk about?
Jeter started berating Manning a little for inviting him late to the show. Then they proceeded with the show, and Manning asked Jeter to choose one among the five of his World Series wins. To which the Jeter replied that like his children he couldn’t choose one out of his five World Series wins.

Aside from this, they also talked about Jeter’s disappointments in his career. To which, Jeter had only two to tell from his twenty year career. In addition to all this, the NY legends had a friendly competition of tying diapers and tying knots to kids’ shoes. Even though friendly, Jeter won it by a couple of seconds.
