It’s safe to say that Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman has etched his name in baseball history. Through thick and thin, literally, he played and how. He hardly missed any games and played through with a sprained ankle. Even though he required four hours of prep before getting on the mound. While most of his performances were notable, you cannot beat the World Series Grand Slam of his. No one had done it like that before – he made history that day.
It was simply fantastic. Not just the shot, but the after-reaction, where he rushed to his dad and shared that raw emotion. He had a 300-batting average, 4 home runs, and 12 RBIs, plus that grand slam that helped the LA Dodgers get their strong footing against the New York Yankees. Then they ended up winning the World Series. And while Freeman is already famous, his popularity is now skyrocketing, well, at least his share of murals is increasing in LA!

Surge in Freddie Freeman murals
After his World Series heroics, Freddie Freeman is widely celebrated by his fans. More so in LA! He was seen in Jimmy Kimmel Live and was also with his wife on the red carpet. Plus, he also appeared in New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce. Plus, one mural from artist Gustavo Zermeno Jr, a talented artist, recently went viral too. It’s a stunning mural, of Freeman in an iconic World Series win, located in Hawthrone, California. Clearly, Freeman is getting the love he deserves, but guess, even he wasn’t ready for his next mural!

Freddie Freeman fans, aka artists, immortalized a key moment of Freeman’s 2024 run through a huge mural. It was stunning, and the post by Dodger Nation had the caption, “This Freddie Free/Statue of Liberty mural might be one of the best ones we’ve seen yet. Artists who also are Dodgers fans are the definition of talented.” Freddie Freeman’s face was hilariously paired with the Statue of Liberty’s body!
Ouch, this might hurt the New York Yankees. They, after all, tried their best, but with Aaron Judge’s slump, they didn’t have the power to match up. Dodgers with Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freeman, and the rest were too hot to handle! But this mural sure got the fans talking.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Freddie Freeman the true 'Yankees Daddy,' or just a temporary thorn in their side?

A curious user asked, “Who is the artist that did this??” The artist’s handle goes by the username sloe_motions. And they do lovely murals in Los Angeles of various famous personalities. Their Instagram page is a portfolio of their stunning work. Given how viral this Freeman’s mural is going to go, the page might just blow up with more followers.

One fan came in and said, “This is next-level disrespect; I love it 😂.” Well, at one glance, it does look like disrespecting the New York Yankees. But it also mimics Freeman’s one-arm raised moment after he hit the grand slam. So replacing that torch with his hand is pretty genius. And of course, Liberty being in New York seems to be more than apt to catch the attention of fans.
A person said it perfectly, “How to make a New York sports fan mad 101.” Well, the New York Yankee fans are already mad! Not only do they come so far and lose, but they are also being subject to LA Dodgers players taking a dig at them. Recently, Joe Kelly mentioned Yankees are lazy. Plus, it’s not the only instance where LA players are coming for the Yankees.
The Instagram user mentioned, “This is so dirty.” Sports are played with emotions, drama gets entangled in it. Like recently, Kopech mentioned that they made fun of Rizzo and his mound visits. “We had a running joke in the bullpen of ‘Rizzo visits remaining.’ So, yeah, right now it’s the Dodger’s turn to be on the punching side of things. But times do change!

A Freeman fan came in and mentioned, “Freddie is the @yankees DADDY!!!” We can’t say whether he is the Yankee daddy, but he sure set an example of being an exemplary father this year. He was a rock for his son Max when he was facing a life-threatening issue. And he showed how, through resilience, even the toughest battle can be won. He is an inspiration, and if one can say a dad figure, for many baseball fans and young children looking up to him.
The New York Yankees are looking to sign Juan Soto back. They are making other key changes to ramp up their defense capabilities and will be coming back strong.
