As the much-anticipated opening day draws near, a retrospective glance at the 2022 season reveals certain areas of vulnerability in their rotation and specific positions of the New York Yankees. Despite being unable to fully address all the position player gaps during the offseason, the team’s acquisition of the Chicago White Sox’s promising debutant from 2016, Carlos Rodon, has infused fresh vitality into the lineup. Now, with Rodon’s arrival in the Big Apple, the Yankees boast an exceedingly gifted and dynamic bullpen.
Analogous to that, as pitchers and catchers arrived for Spring Training in Tampa, the three big Yankee pitching stars in Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon, and Nestor Cortes Jr. stood together strategizing ahead of Opening Day.
This is a rotation to look out for… and New Yorkers will agree

In an interview with Leader-Telegram, Carlos Rodon spoke about his shift to New York with excitement and the potential chance of reaching the World Series. He said, “The biggest thing for me coming over and being a New York Yankee was just the track record where there’s always a chance to be the last one standing. I’ve never really had that shot. I’ve been on a couple of winning teams but I’m excited to see what it’s like to pitch in an ALCS or eventually pitch in a World Series”
How does the New York Yankees rotation look with the addition of Carlos Rodon?
Led by ace Gerrit Cole, the New York Yankees rotation includes the likes of Carlos Rodon, Nestor Cortes Jr., and Luis Severino. The fifth spot in their rotation is opened up since Frankia Montas’ injury and is most likely expected to be filled by Domingo German.
