Cases of popular celebrities caught in scandals are not alien to us. But sometimes the cases go beyond just that person. In a similar incident in 2020, Aaron Judge’s girlfriend, Samantha Bracksieck, got caught up in an issue with the police in Arizona while the Yankees camp was there for spring training. And it was how she tried to get out of the charges that made the news.

Samantha Bracksieck got into an altercation with the cops where she attempted to use Aaron Judge’s fame to get out of a DUI that they detained her for. A video clip of the star found its way into mainstream media to open the issue to the public. Aaron Judge may be a New York Yankees favorite, but the law applies to everyone, and it’s the same for all.
When Samantha Bracksieck attempted to get out of an incident with the cops
The video sees Bracksieck start out in the driver’s seat of her car. However, the detaining officers ask her to step out and take a test on the breathalyzer as well. While registering dangerous levels, officers escort her to an alternate area. The video then sees Bracksieck try to play her cards to get out of the situation.
Says Bracksieck, “Do you know who my boyfriend is? My boyfriend is in the spotlight in New York media in general.”
The officers had reportedly pulled Bracksieck over because her headlights were off. Further, she was going ten mph over the speed limit in Arizona.
The fallout from the incident for Aaron Judge and his girlfriend
In Arizona, at the time for spring training prior to the 2020 season, Bracksieck reportedly pled guilty to a misdemeanor DUI and was sentenced to 10 days in an Arizona jail. However, nine days of the sentence were suspended, and they gave her credit for one day. The sentence also reportedly included over $2,000 in fines and fees and had Bracksieck attend an alcohol abuse screening.
Bracksieck’s arrest was kept under the wraps until May. News then broke through into the mainstream via an entertainment news outlet.

However, Judge and Bracksieck have long since gotten past that. The two tied the knot in Hawaii last year and now live together in New York City. Bracksieck has stayed out of the spotlight, and Aaron Judge is enjoying his time in the Bronx.
With a stellar record for the Yankees this season, he could stand to make a shout for MVP with the numbers he is notching up right now.
