Per the New York Post, this was a players’ choice award; meaning, major league players voted for Aaron Judge for the American League outstanding player and player of the year.

Meanwhile, in the National League, the Cardinals slugger Paul Goldschmidt also won the NL outstanding player of the year.

When talking about Judge, the Yankees slugger bested the Los Angeles Angels’ two-way star and reigning AL MVP Shohei Ohtani to win these two awards. Notably, last year, Ohtani won these two awards for his remarkable season.

When talking about Ohtani, the Japanese star had an even better season than the last year. He smashed 34 home runs from the plate and had 219 strikeouts with 15 wins from the plate. But Judge’s brilliance dominated Ohtani’s two-way show this year.

Will Judge stay in the Bronx?

Knowing that Aaron Judge will be a free agent once the World Series is over, it is still not clear whether the Yankees star will extend his stay in the Bronx. Because, earlier this year, Judge rejected a $213 million contract from the Yanks and preferred to become a free agent.
