While the New York Yankees‘ 2023 season may not be going as planned, there might just be some good news emerging from the Bronx. The Bronx may just be preparing for the next big thing. The Yankees lineup has not been firing to its potential in 2023. The New York farm system has given Major League baseball some gems over the years. And with the emergence of a whole new batch of youngsters including Anthony Volpe, Oswaldo Peraza, and Jasson Dominguez, the count is not stopping soon. But the list of emerging players could be set to see another major addition.

According to journalist Darius Glover, the Yankees’ calmer Deadline Day may have been because they have an ace up their sleeve. Glover reports that according to Andy Martino, the outfielder may be poised for the Yankee Stadium.
Everson Pereira could be activated by the Yankees sooner than previously expected. The reason that the Yankees didn’t go for another outfielder was that they value his range ‘higher than other outfielders on offer‘.

Everson Pereira – Future Yankees Superstar?
Pereira signed on with the New York Yankees during the international window in 2017. He has since been a stop-start career in the Major League but has impressed recently. While he has been hampered by both injuries and the pandemic shutdown, the youngster may finally be seeing his opportunity emerge.

The Yankees have marked out the youngster after his breakout season in 2021 when he hit 20 homers in 49 games. In 2022, Pereira only went and doubled his contributions with 102 games that he played for the Yankees’ affiliates in the minor leagues.
Pereira may not be the speediest of runners in rounding the bases but is clearly a power hitter. Something that the Yankees are missing right now.

The youngster is expected to play for the Yankees’ outfield, slotting into the center of the park with a great range on his throws. Something that the Yankees will be looking forward to.
