Is Aaron Judge the greatest Yankee of our generation? Let's hear your thoughts!

What hasn’t already been said about Aaron Judge? That is almost what Aaron Boone said after the New York Yankees captain hit his 32nd homer of the season. Despite the Bronx Bombers struggling, and their hitting staff going through a barren run, All Rise continues to fly high. Such has been his domination that now he’s eyeing an achievement so rare, that one couldn’t even dream of it.

Gradually as more people put up Aaron Judge’s name in the Yankees’ all-time greats,  his manager Aaron Boone can’t stop fawning over his captain. After all, while fans get to witness Judge from afar, Boone has the best seat in the world. He sees the extremely high work ethic of All Rise, and he watches the high tolerance for the pressure that the star has. Perhaps that’s why after his 32nd home run, Boone explained how he had run out of “adjectives” for Judge.

“He just kind of sticks his nose down and gets to work and knows what he has to do to prepare every day,” Boone said about Judge. The skipper then explained how the 2022 MVP’s focus remains unwavering, no matter if he’s succeeding or failing. That makes him an inspirational figure and it was here that Boone shared just how difficult it is to even find words for Judge’s brilliance.

“I’m going to get into a thesaurus because I’ve used up all the adjectives that I hold,” Boone shared. That’s something that nearly every Yankee fan feels currently. What seemed unbreakable might be broken in just two years. With 32 home runs, Aaron Judge looks on pace to touch or cross that 62-homer record he created in 2022. But that isn’t nearly enough to explain just what the superstar is doing this season. From OPS to Homeruns, Judge is currently in a realm that comprises all-time greats.

Rare Triple Crown for Aaron Judge?

As of now, Aaron Judge leads the league in home runs (32), RBIs (82), and batting average (.318). Could this be the year when we see a Triple Crown winner? The last time it happened was in 2012 when Miguel Cabrera won it. Before that? In 1967 the Boston Red Sox’s Carl Yastrzemski won it. In total, the Triple Crown has been awarded only 17 times in all of MLB’s history.

Have an interesting take?

If Aaron Judge somehow manages to do the unthinkable, he’d only be the third Yankee in history to do it. The other two are, the legendary Lou Gehrig and Mickey Mantle. Interestingly Mantle played in the Centerfield when he won it, the same as Judge is doing now. While that could mean nothing, it could also be great trivia if Judge somehow does the impossible.

Perhaps that’s why Aaron Boone is out of words. After all, who’d have imagined seeing things that we only heard of in stories and folklore? But that’s what Aaron Judge does, he makes New York Yankees fans travel back in time.
