But the Rangers released him from their big-league roster in May. Because he was not a perfect fit for the team. And now, Carpenter is playing for the best MLB team of the ongoing season.

The veteran infielder smashed seven runs in a single game for the second time in the current season. Before him, only Ruth, Gehrig, and DiMaggio had achieved this feat.

Not only Carpenter, but Aaron Judge also hammered two home runs against the Red Sox and helped the Yankees win the second game by 14-1 in the Bronx.

Now, with both teams winning one game each, the third game will be the decider for the series.
