So much popular that recently, a K-Pop girl group, Aespa, paid their visit to the iconic Yankee Stadium. Notably, Aespa has millions of followers across the world. And considering their humongous fan following, their visit to Yankee Stadium was a smash hit.

Aespa did the honor of throwing the ceremonial first pitch at Yankee Stadium

After a break, as the proceeding of the series between the New York Yankees and the Chicago White resumed, fans had a lot to cheer. Already happy with the resumption of the series, Yankees fans’ joy doubled with a first pitch throw from a celebrity group. aespa shared this on their official handle. It read, aespa throws out the first pitch at MLB Yankee Stadium in the US, proving their global status!”

Notably, Aespa is the four-member girl group formed by Ningning, Giselle, Karina, and Winter. They will be on a US tour later this year. The K-Pop will travel to different cities, including Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, and Boston.

The New York Yankees end the home series with a win!

Having lost the first encounter of the series, the Yankees only focused on winning the doubleheader. But things did not materialize for the Pinstripes as they lost the first game of the day, losing the series. It was a close contest between the two sides that ended with a score of 6-5. The Yankees missed their captain Aaron Judge during the game. Even though Higashioka contributed two runs for the team, his effort fell short of the win. 

But the 2009 world series champions regrouped themselves in the second game. The Yankees won it with a score of 3-0 to finish the delayed series with a win. Marinaccio played a crucial role in the win with his brilliant pitching. The 27-year-old pitched in 2.1 innings and claimed four strikeouts. Already on the upper hand because of the great pitching, the Yankees put enough runs on the board to have another home win of the season.

Though the Yankees are still in the third position in the AL East, time is slipping away from them to cover the gap with the table toppers Tampa Bay Rays. It would be interesting to see how they play against their arch-rivals Boston Red Sox in the next series. Will the Yankees be able to make a strong comeback with a series win? Only time will tell!
