Despite having a perfect game last night, the New York Yankees’ fate does not get better anytime soon. After horrendously losing the series’ first game against the Oakland Athletics, the Yanks rose in the second. And with an injury-riddled roster, the Bronx Bombers turned the series in their favor with one of their aces throwing a perfect game. Soon after the Yanks won the series, a strange yet good World Series statistic came up.
However, the quirky statistic failed to win the hearts of the Yankees’ fanbase. The bizarre statistic might have easily ruined the celebration of a perfect game. But is it an indication of things to get better for the Yankees?

New York Yankees need help to catch a break!
After 45 wins and 36 losses this season, the Yanks currently stand third in AL East. They must win almost every game if they want to make it to the postseason. And doing so would be easier with their captain?Aaron Judge, who is on the IL indefinitely.

After throwing a perfect game last night, Yankees ace Domingo German not only helped his team win but also opened up the possibility of winning a World Series. According to the statistic, “The Yanks have won the World Series every year one of their pitcher has thrown a perfect game.” Does that mean Yankees can win their 28th ring?

But after a terrible half-season, the chances of the Yankees lifting their 28th World Series trophy are not looking good.?
Fans are against the bizarre statistic!
Moving from third position to second would be tough enough, let alone reaching the postseason and winning the World Series. Hence, Yankees fanbase is having a tough time believing this statistic. And they seem convinced that even if the indicator is true, the team will work hard enough to make it false.?

With many believing that this will not happen this year, there is a fan who thinks cheating is the only way to make it happen.?
I only can hope the trend continues. Anyway Mr Spitter is an unlikely hero but cheating is the way to the top if you can get away with it. Just ask the Houston Astros.

Now, only time will tell whether the Yankees will relive this statistic. Until then, the Yanks will need to work quite hard to change the minds of their fans.?
