Pitching is the only thing on the New York Yankees’ wish list right now. The team came into the off-season chasing outfielders and pitching depth. With Juan Soto and Alex Verdugo’s additions, the team has addressed outfield issues and is now still on the hunt for hurlers. After missing out on Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the Yankees might be getting a bit frantic.

This off-season, the Bronx Bombers considered Yamamoto their priority, but that deal didn’t work out. Now, as the weeks go by, the team is running around to pick up the best arm that they can get.

Amidst a crucial off-season, the New York Yankees are desperate for pitching. After missing out on the Japanese youngster, the club seems to be checking in on every top starter available. This includes both free agents and trades, with Jordan Montgomery and Blake Snell seemingly the top targets. But now, as the market develops, Bombers’ front office seems to be looking at Dylan Cease as an option as well. MLB insider Andy Martino revealed in an X post that the Yankees are looking at all top options.

Replying to a fan, Martino said, “It’s more that they are exploring every high end pitcher available because they want to acquire one.” This seems to indicate that the Bombers are getting a bit desperate to bring in a top arm as the market thins and pitchers sign for other teams.

The New York Yankees will continue to be in the headlines as they look to add top hurlers. Although they have been connected to several names, a concrete deal has not been reached yet. It will be interesting to see who they sign in the coming weeks.

Over the last few weeks, the New York Yankees have been linked to everyone from Jordan Montgomery to Corbin Burnes. But now, as the market develops, Montgomery, Blake Snell, and Dylan Cease have seemingly emerged as the final names on their wish list for the time being. But in time, that may change with more pitchers becoming available or as the price tags shift.
