From the unending list of senior basketball players, only 1.2% make the massive and life-changing jump from college to the NBA. Making this difficult cut was Justin Minaya, who triggered chatter in the college circuit when he represented Providence, before playing the NBA G League with the Mexico City Capitanes. Justin Minaya is the son of a top New York Yankees executive, Omar Minaya, who served as the general manager of the New York Mets and Montreal Expos in the past.

The Portland Trail Blazers, who prepare to exit the 2022-23 season after a rather disappointing performance, signed 24-year-old Justin Minaya. Minaya represented the Mexico City Capitanes in the NBA G League, played 27 games, and recorded an average of 12.7 points before making his NBA debut against the Memphis Grizzlies, who are currently second in the Western Conference.

Along with the Portland Trail Blazers, which other teams are out of the postseason race?

In the Eastern Conference, the top ten are already finalized. Orlando Magic, Indiana Pacers, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Hornets, and Detroit Pistons are the eliminated teams in the Eastern Conference. The Western Conference, on the other hand, has only three teams eliminated for sure – Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets. A battle remains between the Oklahoma City Thunder, Mavericks, and Utah Jazz for the play-in.
