New York Yankees are proving to be an easy opponent for the Houston Astros in the ongoing ALCS. With big players like Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Anthony Rizzo failing from the plate, the Yankees are on the verge of getting knocked out of the postseason.

Apart from the ongoing postseason, the New York Yankees have a big task ahead in free agency. Yes! Just after the postseason, Aaron Judge will be out of contract and given he is an instrumental part of the Yankees organization, the Pinstripes management would want to keep their marquee by their side.

Even the Yankees players want Judge to continue in the Bronx and be their leader.

Even though the Yankees are suffering in the ongoing ALCS against the Houston Astros. What is more horrible for the Yanks is the dipping form of their star player Aaron Judge. Notably, after dominating the regular season, Judge has failed to perform in the postseason.

Despite that, Nestor backed Judge to become the next Yankees captain after Jeter. In Nestor’s own words, apart from being an excellent ballplayer, Judge is an even better human being.

“If he is back here next year, he is our captain. He is the next captain. We follow everything he does. He leads by example. He is not really a guy that comes out and screams at anybody…,” Nestor said of Aaron Judge.

“I think he has earned that right to keep us in check… allows him to be so great. I feel like he is a great baseball player, but he is a better human. He treats everybody the same….”

Baseball Twitter remains divided on Judge and the Yankees

Once the postseason ends, Aaron Judge will start listening to offers from other franchises. Even Judge has said that he will respect and listen to every single offer he will be getting in his free agency. And that is something that might bother the Yankees fans.

Taking to Twitter, a few fans appreciated Judge and indirectly asked him to stay in the Bronx while a few fans took a dig at the Yankees slugger for his horrendous postseason stat.
