This will clear all the uncertainty regarding the Yankee’s future as their star player is staying. But reports have surfaced stating that another team had offered Aaron Judge a bigger deal. And the Yankees fans are awe of their superstar for staying in the Bronx.
The Padres offered Aaron Judge a 10-year $400 million deal!
If reports are true, then the San Diego Padres offered Aaron Judge a 10-year $400 million contract. In a Tweet, Talkin’ Yanks shared the same. The tweet said, “The Padres offered Judge $400 million over 10 years but he took less to stay with the Yankees, per @BNightengale”.

Notably, even though Judge reportedly declined the Padres’ offer, he got almost the same contract with the New York Yankees. Had he signed for the Padres, the reigning AL MVP would have been earning $40 million a year for the next 10 years, the same annual salary that he will be earning at the Yankees.
From the beginning, it sounded like the Yankees were the top option for Judge. Fans have shown positive reactions to Judge signing with the Yankees and turning down the Padres’ offer.

SD would have been good, but by staying with NYY, it’s his team, cements his legacy, makes a play for Monument Park, Retired number, HOF as a Yankee. There’s value in that.
