Free agency has been a rollercoaster for Carlos Correa, the two-time All-Star has signed two deals that have hit snags. The first one was a massive 13-year $350 million deal with the San Francisco Giants, whereas the second deal was a 12-year $315 million deal with the New York Mets.
When his Giants deal stalled due to medical-related issues, the Mets swept in and agreed to a deal with Correa. That didn’t last long as the Mets faced the same medical issues that the Giants did. There were new updates about the deal, but no conclusive information. However, if reports are true, then the Giants are still interested in Correa. But the main question is, is Correa interested in the Giants?

According to Pavlovic, “Farhan Zaidi said Giants have had recent conversations with Carlos Correa’s camp but their understanding is he’s focused on a deal elsewhere.” This means that the deal between Correa and the Giants may very well be over.
Fans have reacted to this news and are not glad about this development. Some fans even mocked the Giants while others said that Correa is justified for not wanting to sign with them.

Cause they embarrassed him in front of his family. Dude went house shopping in the Bay. I don't blame him for not wanting to come here to play.

It’s like we offered a big deal to a guy and then pulled out. I wouldn’t want to come here if I was a hitter either.
I think we lose 90+ games next year.

The Giants embarrassed him. He's not coming back. No one knows how negotiations went with Giants. But with the Mets having same concerns yet he still wants to get a deal with them, Is not a good look for the Giants.

Of course! After the way the Giants treated him , why would he want to be in SF?

I wouldn't think he would've entertained another deal from the giants after they backed out of the original offer. Im not surprised to hear this in the slightest

Why is Farhan talking to the media all of a sudden? This guy should be on the hot seat all 2023 season. Giants Off-season: We tried really hard, it’s not our fault, don’t blame us!
