Free agency has been a rollercoaster for Carlos Correa, the two-time All-Star has signed two deals that have hit snags. The first one was a massive 13-year $350 million deal with the San Francisco Giants, whereas the second deal was a 12-year $315 million deal with the New York Mets.

When his Giants deal stalled due to medical-related issues, the Mets swept in and agreed to a deal with Correa. That didn’t last long as the Mets faced the same medical issues that the Giants did. There were new updates about the deal, but no conclusive information. However, if reports are true, then the Giants are still interested in Correa. But the main question is, is Correa interested in the Giants?

According to a recent tweet by Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports, the Giants are still looking to sign Correa. But the two-time All-Star is reportedly focussing on another deal. Correa is not interested in signing with the Giants and is highly unlikely to sign with the team. The other team that Correa is focused on has not been named yet.

According to Pavlovic, “Farhan Zaidi said Giants have had recent conversations with Carlos Correa’s camp but their understanding is he’s focused on a deal elsewhere.” This means that the deal between Correa and the Giants may very well be over.

Although the other team has not been named, most people believe that it is the Mets. Correa is still trying to get a deal done to play with the Mets. It will be interesting to see what kind of contract Correa finally signs. But many people are wondering what these medical issues really are.

What medical issue arose in Correa’s medicals with the Giants and the Mets?

According to MLB.com’s Anthony DiComo, both teams were worried about Correa’s medical history. More specifically, they were worried about the arthroscopic surgery he underwent to repair a fractured right fibula in 2014.
