The steroid era in Major League Baseball has changed the game unquestionably. In 2007, the Mitchell report came, and it had a lot of players’ names in it. The report included Yankee’s Alex Rodriguez, Met’s Paul Lo Duca, and 87 others. The usage of steroids and performance-enhancing drugs not only brought changes in the game but made people’s interest in the game even less.

Duca talked about A-Rod in an interview on a New York Radio Station. And he did not hold back on his feelings against the former baseball player.
He will never be a fan of Alex
Paul was completely open about his feelings and thought that Alex’s continuous lying about the steroids did not make him look good, but later, he was honest about everything and owned it.
In the same interview, he said, “People know I’m not a fan, and I’m sorry. Never will be a fan. I just think he’s one of the fakest people out there…. The way he gets put on a pedestal now is beyond me.”
Why does Lo Duca not like Alex Rodriguez?
Duca played in Major League Baseball from 1998 to 2008 for four different teams. He has played for LA Dodgers, Florida Marlins (now Miami Marlins), New York Mets, and Washington Nationals. Paul was one of the names that appeared in the Mitchell Report. It told everyone about the players who ever took steroids and performance-enhancing drugs. A-Rod‘s name was also on the list, but before that list came, he had lied about taking steroids to the media.

His lying about the same is the reason that Paul does not like him. In the interview, he said, “I was in the Mitchell Report, something I’ll never be proud of and something that was a mistake of mine a long time ago. But I owned up to it. I didn’t lie. Owned up to it immediately, it was over with, and people can judge me the way they want to judge me. … But when you completely lie about it for years after years after years after years, you cash in $260 million and people are like, ‘Well, he’s successful,’ well, hell yeah, he’s successful. … So, now his relationship with [Jennifer Lopez] has taken him to a level that he’s a saint. Give me a break!”
In no sense did Paul hold back on his feelings about A-Rod. He does not like him. It is for the fact he lied to everyone about him taking steroids and then earning money over the years. Controversies have never left Alex, and it does not look like they are going to leave him any time soon.
