Derek Jeter will never say it loud about his favorite World Series team

The arrival of Derek Jeter in the Bronx had an enormous impact on the New York Yankees. During the 80s and early 90s, the Yankees were going through a rough phase. The Pinstripes did not win a single World Series title in the last 15 years before Jeter debuted in the 1995 season.

Once Derek Jeter became a part of the Yankees organization, the Pinstripes started winning games in MLB. The same team who had not won a World Series title in the last 15 years went on to win five World Series titles in the next 15 years.

Recently, in an exclusive interview with Si.com, when the interviewer asked Jeter if there was any Yankees team that stands out from the rest of the World Series championships team, the former Yankees captain had the best answer.

Jeter did not pick any favorite, but he also said that even if he has one, he will not reveal it.

“That’s like asking someone to name their favorite child—even if you have one, you’re never going to say it out loud,” Derek Jeter said.

Considering his immense contribution to the game and a decorated career, MLB honored him with the Hall of fame induction in 2020.
