Major League Baseball, in its various twists and turns during the off-season, has good news for its fans as well. One such case is of the New York Yankees pitcher. The All-Star player signed a minor league contract with the Bronx Bombers in 2020 to get called up to the big league in the following season. Later, with his unique style of pitching, every pitch that he threw, and his unique mustache, he became a fan favorite throughout the 2021 season.

That pitcher is the Yankees’ reliever, Nestor Cortes Jr., who also earned the nickname ‘Nasty Nestor’. Then came the next year of Cortes in the Bronx, when he became an All-Star player for the first time. And now, after having that ‘American dream,’ he got re-signed by the Yankees. Shortly after it happened, the pitcher took it to his Twitter handle to thank his family, who sacrificed a lot to help him become who he is. His fans, notably, were also happy with the fact that the pitcher got what he deserved.
