Decades have passed since Mantle bid adieu to baseball. The New York Yankees star played for over a decade in the MLB, claiming all the success. But there is no end to his aura. Though the notable point was the sheer dominance of Mantle in this list. He led the like of James and Hamilton by millions of dollars.

Reportedly, it happened after his rookie card from 1952 with a 9.5 grade was sold for a record $12.6 million last year. It put him in the first position, almost seven million dollars more than the card in the second spot. Though the price of his card looks unreal, his glorious career justifies every bit of it.
