For quite some time now, the rumors of Yankee’s third baseman Alex Rodriguez losing his ownership are rising. Apparently, the Yankees icon is struggling to raise his part of the deal.?
A-Rod, with his e-commerce billionaire partner, Marc Lore, put down $250 million as a down payment last year for a 20% stake in the team. They were supposed to be equal partners, but in the down payment, Rodriguez only paid 7%, while Lore covered the rest of it. As per their deal, they are supposed to pay another 20% by the end of this year. And if the rumors are true, and Alex is indeed struggling to raise money to pay for his part, his ownership of the Timberwolves is in Jeopardy.
