Although the Los Angeles Dodgers suffered a defeat in the series opener against the Atlanta Braves on Thursday night, they congratulated Ronald Acuna Jr. for his remarkable historic achievement with a special present.

Among many notable instances that won the hearts of fans was Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald Acuna Jr. making MLB history on Thursday night. He went on to become the first player ever to hit 30 home runs and steal 60 bases, all of it, in a single season. Freddie Freeman, the American and Canadian first baseman ahead of Friday’s game at the Dodger Stadium, went beyond his way to honor his friend’s achievement. 

He presented the generational talent Ronald with a commemorative base as a token of appreciation. He added, “We wanted to give you a base so you always remember it so you always remember it. That was awesome. Forever 101.

This perfectly symbolized their collective love for the game and respect for the history they shared as teammates in the Atlanta Braves. This gift from his former teammate was much more than professional appreciation. It was a wedding gift for an amazing feat he achieved on the day he tied the knot with his partner.

Ronald Acuna’s Day Turns More Special Than He Imagined

Ronald Acuna, the Venezuelan outfielder tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend the morning of cranking a grand slam. He and his wife, Maria have known each other for the past 4 years. 7  months after their engagement in January this year, the wedding took place on 31st August. They said yes to each other in an intimate ceremony in a chapel west of Los Angeles. 

A few hours after the ceremony, he helped lift his team to a win. The series of amazing events that unfolded, set out a special emotion for Acuna. He wrote a note to his wife, “For the rest of my life, I hope you never forget this incredibly special day for us.” as reported by ESPN.

His teammate, Michael Harris II,  after witnessing the events that unwound, rightly summed up Ronald’s day as, “a pretty wild day.
